or National Scoliosis Foundation Forum...this is Kinesiotape on my rhomboids. It has been attached in such a way as to help me remember to hold my shoulders back. I also have been taped on my lower back and pudgy belly to remind me to tighten my core muscles (but ain't nobody getting a picture of that)! Seriously, the tape helps prevent painful muscle spasms and provides a posture reminder all day. I have been able to cut my pain pill use in half, thanks to this tape. And yes, it is the same stuff as the black tape on the shoulder of the US Olympic team volleyballer. It looked pretty good on her, but it serves the same purpose for me. =) Tuesday, October 28, 2008

I'm glad the tape helps with the pain. Looks like a tricky location - how do you put it on?
Oh, the physical therapist has to tape me...when the therapy's over, so is the tape. But I'll take it and enjoy it for now.
Wow, your back looks amazing! Happy to hear the tape helps so much.
We have missed you so much, can't wait to see you on Tuesday!
Hi Tricia...First I have to say that I love your blog!! I had scoliosis surgery with Dr. Shelokov also, in January of this year, and your blog inspired me to start my own! Your back looks great and I was curious about this tape, as I wonder if it would help with the spasms that I have occasionally (sometimes, all the time haha)... my blog address is http://www.lifeiscrooked.blogspot.com if you would like to read it, and let me know about the tape...thanks so much!
